I am a web developer for 20+ years.
I’ve seen HTML 4, XHTML, and HTML 5 being rendered on the server, then JSON being pulled into the browser along with a ton of JavaScript, only to be pushed back to server-side rendering to speed things up again. Funny how the pendulum swings back and forth.
To me, turning a JSON string into HTML with PHP and style it with some CSS is as rewarding as refinishing an old wall with layers of paint. (l used to be a painter, so I know a thing or two about making things look nice.)
